Working in REAPER involves making selections and giving commands. For example, to copy a single item you would select the item (usually using your mouse) and then give the command for REAPER to copy it.

Othertimes, you will use commands that affect the whole project file without any selection. For example, you mightwish to save all your work. In that case, there would be no need to select anything - you would only need togive the necessary command.
